Founded in 1978 by Jim and Evelyn Hester. The adventure started off from Jim and Evelyn when they got tired of all the areas dealers trying to sell them the wrong bikes and just plain did not know what they were talking about. So they bought out the Yamaha dealer in Trinidad CO. with everything they had in the bank and everything the bank would let them have, this high-risk venture was a success!! They moved into a retail space at the north end of Raton at 223 N 2nd st. and opened up in December of 1978.
With the nonstop efforts from Jim and Evelyn they grew, and word got out, and people would come from miles away to buy from people who knew what they were doing. "Service is #1" Jim used to say. "Without someone to tell you everything you need to know and a top quality service record no one wants to buy from you." With this hard work attitude, Jim and Evelyn built a very strong foundation of there business. In 1995 there youngest son John Came to work for them in sales and service, shortly after that Connie, Johns wife joined the team to help Evelyn with the increase in business. The business grew and grew till they could not carry enough product, their demand had outgrown their small mom and pop business.
